In an exclusive interview, Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) gives his first reaction following his open forum on the campus of Montclair State University on Friday, February 27, 2015. For more than two hours, Booker engaged in a lively discussion on topics such as democracy, education, college affordability, veterans, and much more. Booker addressed over 100 students and also took questions from the audience.
Students who attended the event were prepared to let their voices be heard. Afterwards, students were invited to a pizza dinner to continue the conversation on important topics and civic engagement. This was the open forum Booker participated in on a college campus. The senator mentioned his intent to continue such forums on other college campuses in the future.
